Row Footer calculations

Depending upon the kind of column values, we should have footer calculations based in FOOTER values, as we could do in Excell. For instance, when we have a col with medium valus, the total sum in foot row means nothing.
Is there a way to choose the directim in footer row calcs ?

Sorry for delay, but that probably is not so clear for me. The footer (column total) values calculate in same way as usual cell values but it is based on dataset which has all data in column cells.
I will try to illustrate

cell1 5 values
cell2 10 values
cell3 10 values
total 25 values


so total is not a SUM(ABOVE) but just same calulation based on extended dataset
