How to do a "Top 10 selection"

Postby kurgbe » Wed Aug 23, 2006 7:52 am

Is it possible to view only the top 10 biggest value for a given measure?

Imagine you have the sales figures per vendor and you only want to see the best 10 sales persons.

I tried "the Filter by map cells" but it seems to filter only on the "Value' of the measure and not on the "Ranlk(by row)" value.

Any idea?

See demo. It has a several examples which can help with this. See <Advanced> menu in demo

Thanks for the reply. Can you confirm that standard "Filter by maps cell" function always refer to the VALUE regardless of what is being shown in the actual cells. So if I set MinValue to 50, and the view is by "Percentage by ROW", Pivotcube will filter on the value and not the percentage.

Yes. You are right. Filter on map cells always filtered by value (View type - mvValue)
Support for filtering by view value will realized in next major version
