Recognizing the cell during manual traversal

Postby dophin » Thu Sep 27, 2007 10:00 pm

Hello, Alex

Could you please tell me how to tell subtotal and total cells
during manual traversal of the grid when trying to read everything
"from outside" and export to Excel manually

What do i need to "read" ?
what is the difference between grid cells and map cells ?

Thank you

map cells is objects which consist of meaures, each measure has (probably) several views. Instead of grid cell is single value converted to string.
In case if you have 1 measure with 1 view (Value) - grid cells equal to map cells.
Also you may use map cells (ICell) as direct pointed by correspondign coordintae (PivotMap.RowCells[Index] /ColumnCells[Index]) as hierarchy structure where one top cell (total) has set of children (first dimension in side list), each cell from list probaly has own set of children (second dimension or embedded by hierarchy) etc.
