Using DISTINCT

Postby prosoft » Thu Feb 25, 2010 2:34 pm

I would like to use DISTINCT in summarization.
Sending a simple example in attachment..
Column [Body] is set Distinct: = true and is set as ctCount.
In my opinion it should be in the first red ellipse number 3 and the total sum should be 4 in second red ellipse.
Is it a bug or bad using DISTINCT command?

Thanks Josef.

No, that is a right distinct calculation.

You have 3 equal values - 1,1,1 so in summa we got only one - 1 and get result as 1. You need just avoid distinct usage to get results you want to have.
